Singer Casey\u2019s voice shifts naturally between dead-eyed croon and fevered bark. Drummer Alex Leonard and bassist Scott Davidson are sharp and propulsive, a rhythm section that\u2019s as agile as it is adventurous.<\/p>\n They built their name in the old-fashioned DIY way \u2013 the first pressings of their debut\u00a0All Passion No Technique<\/em>\u00a0sold out as their reputation grew regionally, on the back of riveting live performances. 2014\u2019s sophomore album\u00a0Under Colour of Official Right<\/em>, and 2015\u2019s\u00a0The Agent Intellect<\/em>, cemented an international fanbase, and Protomartyr began to headline large festivals and embark on ambitious global tours.<\/p>\n They then signed to powerful British indie label Domino, and their first album on the label, 2017\u2019s\u00a0Relatives in Descent,\u00a0<\/em>was released to widepsread acclaim. \u201cFierce and unforgettable,\u201d\u00a0NPR Music<\/em>\u00a0wrote in their review.<\/p>\n \u201cNo one captures existential dread quite like Protomartyr,\u201d said\u00a0Stereogum.<\/em>\u00a0And here we are, in an era rife with existential dread to be captured.<\/p>\n We\u2019re excited to bring Protomartyr over to the mainland for two crackling shows.
