In this role, you\u2019ll spread our music message to build bands, brands, and our media and most importantly our events and festivals.<\/p>\n<p>The ideal candidate must have a passion for music in all its genres (if that is possible), possess excellent (English) writing skills, and can develop lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with external influencers.<\/p>\n<p>This person is one who thrives in a flexible, innovative, democratic and highly collaborative team environment.<\/p>\n<p>The core responsibilities of this role include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Managing English content on our websites<\/li>\n<li>Writing our English Newsletters and Press Releases<\/li>\n<li>Manage the English Language Media Relationships and be responsible for delivering substantial article content beyond just listings.<\/li>\n<li>Serve as our English resident blogger<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Additionally:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Create a consistent stream of interesting and informative content for current users and influencers (e.g., ghost writing, by-line articles, op-ed, guest posting).<\/li>\n<li>Build and maintain relationships with social media personalities to expand the reach of our unique content beyond our core users.<\/li>\n<li>Grow and oversee all our companies social media presence on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Wechat.<\/li>\n<li>Keep track of English social media trends, and trends more widely<\/li>\n<li>Create best practice for social media use<\/li>\n<li>Develop and maintain relationships with select English Media<\/li>\n<li>Attend music events regularly \/ report.<\/li>\n<li>Research when required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Split Works is a small company so we require everyone to help out where ever needed, so there will be lots of opportunity to roll your sleeves up and pitch in with our events.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Must have:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You are a native English speaker<\/li>\n<li>You have a superiority complex over your writing abilities, can write with a variety of brand voices, and never miss a typo.<\/li>\n<li>Happy to work overtime during busy periods, but it is music related so you generally love it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Prefer to have:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You LOVE all things music related<\/li>\n<li>Working for a Music company is your dream job<\/li>\n<li>Prefer 1+ years of experience as a writer and \/ or public relations professional.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with web trends \/ analytics\u2019 and stays up-to-date on the \u201cnext big thing\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Can build customer loyalty \u2013 ie increasing follower numbers dramatically<\/li>\n<li>An ability and enthusiasm for bringing and executing upon fresh ideas<\/li>\n<li>Highly organized, ability to focus, schedule and prioritize and multitask<\/li>\n<li>Collaborative team player able to integrate with a diverse team full of opinions and ideas<\/li>\n<li>Ability to roll your sleeves up and help out at all our music gigs<\/li>\n<li>A degree in journalism, public relations, marketing or communication<\/li>\n<li>Basic HTML knowledge<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>WHO WE ARE:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Split Works:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We are one of China\u2019s largest music promoters.
