We are gutted to announce that Angel Olsen\u2019s performance in Shanghai \u2013 Saturday, March 11 \u2013 is cancelled. Purchased tickets will be refunded, in full. Instructions are below.<\/p>\n

Our huge apologies to all fans and ticket buyers: we\u2019ve been working around the clock to try and make this show happen, but the circumstances, ultimately, were beyond our control.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re extremely sorry for the inconvenience and disappointment that this announcement may cause. A full statement from Angel Olsen\u2019s management is below, in Chinese and English.<\/p>\n

About Contemporale:<\/em><\/strong>
\nThe Contemporale series began in the autumn of 2014 as a collaboration between the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra and Split Works and hosts exciting contemporary musical acts in a classical music environment, at the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra\u2019s new home in downtown Shanghai.<\/p>\n

The 2014-15 season saw piano, guitar and strings from the Ukraine (Lubomyr Melnyk), Canada (Moonface) and the US (Bill Callahan).\u00a0 The 2015-16 season saw seven sold-out shows from six artists, including three performances in the 1,200 seat Concert Hall. These ranged from the neo-classical (Olafur Arnalds), avant-pop (Julia Holter) and baroque (John Grant) to alt-rock (Destroyer), folk (Damien Rice) and modern country (Lambchop).<\/p>\n
