On September 19th<\/sup> and 20th<\/sup> 2015, a new festival breaks ground at the sprawling grasslands of the Shanghai Football Rugby Club.<\/p>\n

Echo Park will feature 57 artists across 4 stages, and what we think might just be the broadest and deepest international lineup at a Chinese festival ever. We\u2019re proud and excited to present a massive spread of some of the most intoxicating artists from across the globe (and right here in China of course), to help us create a truly beautiful festival experience for those who love music and life.<\/p>\n

Spanning the musical rainbow, from Britpop, K-pop, funk and soul to shoegaze, electronic, folk-metal and punk, we\u2019ve curated a lineup with something for everyone. We\u2019ve been fiddling with stages and slots for 3 months now, so we\u2019re pretty sure you could come to the festival without knowing a single song by a single band, and still spend a magical couple of days hanging out with new music and real fans. We\u2019ve got you covered!<\/p>\n

International Acts:
\n<\/b>Over half of our lineup is international, with artists from the United States, Canada, U.K, New Zealand, Australia, Japan, and Korea.<\/p>\n

Headlining Echo Park, we’re proud to announce the Grammy-nominated, chart-topping, futuristic R\u2019n\u2019B diva Kelis<\/b>; electronic titans Chase & Status<\/b>; and the K-pop \u201cFresh Prince of Seoul\u201d Jay Park<\/b>. They\u2019ll be joining Gerard Way<\/b>, <\/b>who\u2019ll be bringing his post-My-Chemical-Romance solo project to our Place Less Ordinary. And finally, we have two icons of hip-hop playing together, confirmed, but not yet ready to be announced…<\/p>\n

But really, we are shooting for a post-headliner lineup in a headliner world. J\u00a0 We are most proud of the depth and variety of our bill and to that end, we have punk legends Pennywise<\/b>, rising indie stars Swim Deep <\/b>and Beach Fossils (<\/b>with E********* E********* to be announced), post-punk dabblers Nite Fields, <\/b>and <\/b>Canadian dance-punksters We Are Wolves<\/b>. And there\u2019s more \u2013 we\u2019ve got a full(ish) list at the end of this press release.<\/p>\n

They\u2019ll be joining our first round artists Young Fathers<\/b>, singer-songwriter Jeff Lang<\/b>, <\/b>the seminal Japanese hardcore band Envy<\/b> and Korean old-school Ska Group Kingston Rudieska<\/b>.<\/p>\n

On the electronic front, Echo Park has invited Manchester\u2019s Star Slinger<\/b>\u00a0 (bringing you stuff you know and stuff you don\u2019t), Nick Monaco <\/b>on a disco tip, grime overlord Bok Bok, Japan houser Kikorix, plus K****** and C.*. to be announced.<\/p>\n

Hong Kong, Taiwanese and Mainland Acts:<\/b><\/p>\n

\"Hong<\/a>\u00a0From Hong Kong, Taiwan and Mainland China, we have the veteran folk-rock band Sound Toy<\/b>, up-and-coming talents The Fuzz <\/b>from Xi\u2019an and Stolen <\/b>from Chengdu, the Inner Mongolian folk-rock of AJINAI,<\/b> hip-hop from J-Fever & Soulspeak<\/b> and Itsogoo<\/b>, and the dark dystopian sounds of Beijing\u2019s Nova Heart.<\/b> We also have critically acclaimed shoegaze from Forests<\/b> and goth-rockers Murky Crows, <\/b>both from Taiwan. They\u2019ll be joining Hong Kong indie darlings Chochukmo<\/b>, electro-rock veterans Duck Fight Goose<\/b> and one of the most talked about mainland bands at the moment, The Big Wave<\/b>.<\/p>\n

Bringing the beats from the mainland, we have Beijing\u2019s man of the moment \u00a0Howie Lee<\/b>, the tech-house of Beijing\u2019s Y*** ****<\/b>, the chop-funk of Shanghai\u2019s Damacha<\/b>, the experimental stylings of Laura Ingalls <\/b>(wait, we thought he was dead?) and the relentless Cavia. <\/b><\/p>\n

They will join the already announced urban soul of Guangzhou\u2019s Project Ace<\/b>, the psychedelic stylings of Kunming\u2019s South Acid MiMi Dance Team<\/b> and Chengdu indie darlings Mosaic<\/b>.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re super excited to be joining forces with Japan\u2019s Rainbow Disco Club for our Yurt stage, so expect mad installations and eccentric vibes.<\/p>\n
