The\u00a0JUE | Music + Art<\/a> festival is back for 2012, and our signature event \u2013 the\u00a0JUE<\/a> NEXT GEN Photography Competition<\/a> is going BIG. This time around, we\u2019ve teamed up with China\u2019s first work wear as fashion brand:ospop.<\/a>, to offer a Grand Prize of\u00a010,000 RMB\u00a0to the winning photographer, and\u00a03,000 RMB\u00a0to the Runner-up.<\/div>\n
\n

The initial inspiration for ospop. products was the humble Jiefang shoe. Jiefang shoes are mostly worn by workers on construction sites and are famous for their durability in all kinds of weather and circumstances. These rubber shoes are never fancy, but their reliability and comfort are second to none. Just like the workers who wear them, they have entered the Chinese psyche as a symbol of diligence and endurance, common but noble nonetheless.<\/p>\n

In celebration of this spirit, \u201cWork\u201d is the theme of this year\u2019s JUE NEXT GEN competition. All photographers in China, whether professionals or passionate hobbyists, are invited to submit their photos around the theme of \u201cWork\u201d by\u00a0March 3\u00a0for a chance to win. 15 finalist photos, handpicked by our panel of judges, will be exhibited at\u00a0Central Studios<\/a> in Shanghai from March 9 \u2013 23, 2012.<\/p>\n
