Fresh off their summer tour of North America, including a two-week stint on the famed Vans Warped Tour, tireless Chinese punks Demerit are gearing up for the second leg of their China tour, hitting both the big cities as well as the up-and-coming scenes of Nanchang, Changsha and Dali. From Warped Tour, where China’s punk ambassadors shared the stage with famed groups such as FEAR and Anti-Flag, to a West Coast tour of the US that saw punk fans of all ages and nationalities introduced to a band widely recognized as China’s best street punk band, Demerit has crisscrossed the continent playing their unique, acclaimed street punk-meets-metal guitar riffs and politically aware, satirical lyrics. Not content to rest on their laurels, Demerit continues to stay true to the authentic spirit of punk rock. They are touring in support of their latest album, a split 10” with German hardcore-punk band SS20. The “Out of the Fog” tour kicks off on November 18th in Shanghai.
