Echo Park will feature 57 artists across 4 stages, and what we think might just be the broadest and deepest international lineup at a Chinese festival ever. ECHO PARK – A Place Less Ordinary
[:en]September 19th and 20th will see the ghost of Black Rabbit resurrected in the form of a brand new (but old at heart) music festival. The same Shanghai venue, the same (but improved) Split Works team, the same weekend of the year – we are taking the things that worked from Black Rabbit and adding in a bunch of new bits and pieces that have been percolating in our minds for the last 4 years. [:en]We are very sad to announce that due to health complications, MIKA will be unable to complete his tour in China. Following amazing performances in Beijing and Hangzhou, the energetic star - who so kindly helped us overcome a near cancellation in Beijing by playing two shows – was admitted to hospital in Hangzhou. [CANCELLED] Split Works Presents: Anna Meredith
[:en]Anna was booked to play the Hangzhou Xihu Festival on May 30th and the rest of her China tour was dependent on that booking. Unfortunately, the Xihu date was cancelled last week, and as a result, the tour will have to be postponed. We are all very sorry for any inconvenience.[:zh]由于Anna Meredith中国之行的起因是她原本受邀参加5月底的杭州西湖音乐节，所以想与Split Works合作顺便在周边城市安排小型演出。但令人遗憾的是，日前艺人方面告知我们，她在西湖音乐节的演出安排因故取消，导致她这次无法来中国，其他演出也不得不相应取消。对于给乐迷带来的不便，我们深表歉意。[:]
What Went Down In Wuhan – Rare Emilie Simon Recordings
[:en]We’re sure you know about Emilie Simon’s appearances in Beijing and Shanghai as part of JUE2015. However, you may not have noticed that she also had a show in Wuhan. Well, it was a special show because despite a series of unfortunate events, Emilie and her touring troupe ended up creating an entirely new performance in a last minute effort to make the best of their situation. JUE | Music + Art 2015 Announces Full Line Up
[:en]Come March 12 – 22, China sees the communities of Shanghai and Beijing come ablaze with creativity. JUE | Music + Art returns for its seventh consecutive year in 2015 and includes a musical line up that spans the depths of music – from Korean indie pop to Australian punk veterans – and an art programme that focuses specifically on music and the sounds around us. Hip Hop shows meet Chinese rock photo exhibits while music heads talk on the state of the international music community in a local livehouse followed by a cassette DJ show; JUE has it all from cycling scavenger hunts to live shows on busses.
