Each year JUE | Music + Art presents the JUE NEXT GEN photography competition to offer friends, followers, fans and fanatics the chance to express themselves. The competition aims to offer a voice to the next generation of creatives in China.
WHAT IS JUE NEXT GEN?
This year we’re recreating our JUE NEXT GEN platform as an open forum, where China’s youth (and their expat pals) can enjoin in a visual dialogue with the festival. The initiative will be social media-based (well hey, it’s what we do best)!
WHAT IS THIS YEAR’S THEME?
The 2015 edition will revisit a theme explored in 2012, focusing on the core idea behind Jue: the interpretation of the little 觉 character itself. 觉 (not to be mistaken for the 觉 in 睡觉 which means sleep!) has many meanings including; to perceive, sense, discover and awaken. Our question to you is this: what does 觉 mean to you? Your mission: show us in pictures.
HOW DO I ENTER?
Method 1:
Upload your photos to Instagram (if you’re a pro) or just use the app to take a pic. Include the hashtag #JUENextGen2015 and your photo will be automatically entered. Find us at @JUEfestival
Method 2:
Upload your photos to Weibo and include the hashtag #JUENextGen2014或#
and your photo will be automatically entered. Find us at @觉音乐艺术节
*Entries are unlimited.
**You will need a VPN to participate via Instagram.
The competition closes on the last day of JUE – 22nd March.
Prizes
Our panel of judges will select 9 winners in total to receive JUE packages. Here’s a rundown of what’s on offer:

- Feature on the JUE website with winning photos.

- High-quality print of a collage of the winning photos
