JUE is an annual open-source arts and music festival that takes hold of Shanghai and Beijing. Celebrating its 6th year in 2014, JUE is all about celebrating the best of the local creative communities in these two great cities and inviting artists from around the world to showcase their talent in China.

Are you planning an event/show/exhibition that you think would fit the festival perfectly? We want to hear from you! Send us an email to: juefestival@spli-t.com and tell us more. Deadline for submissions is Sunday, November 24th 2013 – read more on the festival website.
But wait, there’s more!
This year, we’ve cracked open the piggy bank to provide a JUE bursary fund for those creative projects/events/ideas that need just that little extra love. For each of the 7 exciting JUE categories (JUE Music, JUE Art, JUE Film, JUE Literary, JUE Performance, JUE Talks and JUE Community), we will be offering one JUE Support Package in each city (Beijing and Shanghai). Each Support Package will include the following:
-500RMB cash to use towards your event (printing, hard costs, etc.)
-A web flyer designed by one of our talented JUE designers for your event.
-A highlight for your event in at least one edition of our JUE newsletter.
If you are interested, please fill out the following 【form】 and send it to juefestival2014@spli-t.com by November 24th. Our smiling community panel of JUE Advisory Board members will pick out the entries that they think best represent JUE, and would benefit the most from the support package.
*Although we would love to dish out support packages to everyone who applies, we can only provide 7 in each city. Don’t fret – even if you’re unlucky this time, your event will still be considered as a general submission to the festival.
And last of all, how could we forget our PRE-JUE SHOW FEATURING THE LUMINEERS!!! Fans – young, old and in-between – are drawn by this band’s Americana-inflected barnburners in the vein of the Avett Brothers and Mumford & Sons. They’re drawn by songs like “Slow it Down” and “Dead Sea,” slow, sultry ballads that suggest the raw revelations of Jeff Buckley and Ryan Adams. They’re drawn by the live Lumineers experience—a coming-together in musical solidarity against isolation, adversity, and despair.
Be there – that’s all we’ll say for now!
