JUE | Music + Art 2011: Fin

We recently came to the end of a glorious month of March and along with it JUE | Music + Art 2011. 89 events were packed into 3 frenetic weeks of creative activity.  Artists, performers and musicians from all around the world converged on Beijing and Shanghai to make it our most successful year yet.

Musical acts crossed a diverse array of genres, a few of which were: The Whitest Boy Alive’s electropop, Shanren’s Chinese folk rock, and World’s End Girlfriend’s electro dream orchestra. Performance art events included the Shanghai Repertory Theatre’s rendition of “Twelfth Night”, ENTER’s innovative small space performance installation, and HAL Publishing’s spoken word battles, to name a few.  Throughout it all, a host of art and photography exhibits enveloped both Shanghai and Beijing.
